Salesforce Rolls Out 3 New Editions Bundling AI and Slack
Salesforce now sells AI, Slack, analytics, security, and support in one purchase. Here is what each new edition includes, what it costs, and what changes for companies already on Salesforce.
Heading into Dreamforce 2026, Salesforce launched three new editions for Agentforce Sales, Agentforce Service, and Agentforce Industries. They are called Core, Advanced, and Max. Each one packages capabilities that customers used to buy as separate add-ons, including Agentforce, Slack, Tableau Next analytics, data security, and a Premier Success Plan, into a single per-user price.
The announcement came out on September 3, twelve days before the event. Salesforce later included it in its Dreamforce roundup, and it matters for what was shown on stage. The AI features demoed in San Francisco are sold through these editions, so if your team is weighing any of them, this is the price list you will be buying from.
What's new
The biggest change is how Salesforce is sold. Buyers used to assemble a quote from a base edition plus separate purchases for AI, collaboration, analytics, security, and support. Now each edition includes all of them, and the tiers differ in how much AI capacity and how many advanced features you get.
Every edition, from Core up, includes Agentforce with features like Account Research, Service Rep Assistant, and Agentforce Coworker. Each tier also includes Slack and Slackbot, embedded agentic analytics built on Tableau Next, data security tools for protecting sensitive data and managing permission changes, and a Premier Success Plan for guided adoption support.
Each edition also comes with Flex Credits, the consumption capacity that AI agents draw on when they take an action. Core includes 500,000 Flex Credits, Advanced includes 1 million, and Max includes 2.75 million.
Agentforce Sales editions
On the sales side, the new editions put agents to work across the deal cycle. Sales agents can prospect, qualify leads, engage customers, and move pipeline forward. All three tiers include Momentum, which captures activity and keeps CRM records current, so sales leaders get better visibility without reps doing extra data entry.
Advanced and Max add Sales programs. These run structured playbooks and incentives across deal cycles to keep execution consistent from one rep and one region to the next. The new editions sit alongside the existing Free Suite, Starter Suite, and Pro Suite licenses, which remain available for smaller teams.
Agentforce Service editions
Service is where the tiers differ most. Advanced and Max include the Agentforce Help Agent, an autonomous agent that handles customers on any channel. It uses outcome-based pricing, so you pay when an issue gets resolved.
Max adds three more capabilities. Service Rep Assistant gives every rep unmetered Coworker access and a full library of service agent templates. Agentforce Workforce Engagement brings AI-driven workforce management and coaching into the same edition. Agentforce IT Service adds an employee service agent that resolves internal IT requests.
Agentforce Industry editions
The Industry editions include everything in the Sales and Service editions, set up for specific sectors. They come with industry data models for Financial Services, Healthcare, Public Sector, and other verticals, plus compliance and privacy controls built for each sector's regulations. They also include preconfigured business processes and AI agents trained on vertical context. Pricing for the Industry editions takes effect later this fall.
Pricing by edition
Core lists at $195 per user per month. Salesforce positions it against the legacy Enterprise Edition, which moved to $175 in the August 2025 pricing action, and says Core delivers 70% more value.
Advanced lists at $395 per user per month. It sits against legacy Unlimited, which listed at $350, and Salesforce says it offers more than 50% more value.
Max lists at $550 per user per month, the same as the Agentforce 1 Edition it replaces. Salesforce says Max delivers nearly 60% more value than Agentforce 1 at no additional cost, and plans to add Headless 360 capacity to Max in the future.
These value percentages are Salesforce's own figures, based on the list prices of products now included in each bundle. Salesforce also notes that pricing and packaging are subject to change and that availability may vary by region.
What changes for existing customers
If you're already on Salesforce, your current contract doesn't change. Existing customer pricing on legacy editions stays the same. Current Agentforce 1 customers can move to Max at no extra cost, with up to $500 in added value.
For Enterprise and Unlimited customers, the open question is renewal. Salesforce Ben reported that the new editions may replace Enterprise and Unlimited, but that this isn't confirmed. It's reasonable to expect new seats and future renewals to be discussed in terms of the new editions, so ask your account executive how your next renewal will be quoted.
Claudeforce, Salesforce's product with Anthropic, is also connected to editions. On Salesforce's August earnings call, COO Miguel Milano said customers would need premium editions to use it, and noted that only 5% of Sales and Service knowledge workers are on higher-end editions today. When we last checked, Salesforce hadn't published which of the new editions includes Claudeforce. We covered the partnership in Claudeforce: What Salesforce's Anthropic partnership changes.
How this connects to Dreamforce
Dreamforce 2026 ran September 15 to 17 in San Francisco. The main keynote revealed AIforce, which brings Salesforce into Claude, Slack, and other tools people already use, so they can update records, trigger workflows, and ask questions without opening the Salesforce app. The keynote also confirmed that Claudeforce had moved into open beta and brought Agentforce Coworker into the wider picture.
No new Agentforce pricing was announced at the event. The capabilities shown at Dreamforce run on the editions and Flex Credits described above.
What this means for your org
A simpler price list makes buying easier. It doesn't make an org ready to use what it bought. Agents read the same data your team works with every day. Duplicate accounts, opportunity stages that mean different things to different teams, and permissions that have drifted since go-live all show up in what an agent says and does, and every one of those actions uses Flex Credits. We walked through that pattern in Why Agentforce fails in a messy Salesforce org.
Before you move to a higher tier, compare what the bundle includes with what you already pay for separately, and confirm that your data and access model can support agents. That's how you make sure the value Salesforce describes turns into value your team actually uses.
